Kim stands in front of the door. She knows Chase is home, she just doesn't know if she wants to see him right now.
So much has happened and he has no idea. She's tempted to go back to the car and drive over to Miriam's, ask to spend the night, but that would only be avoidance and she would have to face Chase tomorrow.
She turns the knob, pushing the door open and for a moment hopes that she'll see Milliways. She's not ready to go home, but, no one asked her opinion.
Instead, she's inside the house and resists the urge to make herself invisible.
