A long sigh for Mesaana. Icy blue eyes glancing away as she paused to figure out what to say.
"I do not know him and so I cannot say, but he was trying to be strong for you... Well, I could tell he was scared, though."
A pause, and more collected thought.
"Were you not frightened by these powers at first? I mean, I hope you will be able to heal your relationship with him. Emotions do not Heal as easily as bodies."
Mesaana took another deep breath, and placed a hand between Kim's shoulderblades. It was a safe place. Putting a hand there gave off feelings of safety.
"Lady Kim, let's go and have a seat."
Mesaana carefully took a seat on the edge of Kim's bed and folded her hands in her lap.
"I hope things between you and your father are healed, but I will not give you false hope. We channelers often forget how absolutely terrifying our powers are to those who are not as gifted."
A pause.
"They cannot see the weaves nor feel the source or potentials... It is simply manifestations of the seeminly impossible. I know a friend of mine who injured a sibling with lightning. The poor girl was never quite the same, she was never comfortable around her sibling, and she jumped everytime she heard thunder."
Her voice as cool, and had a soothing tone as she spoke calmly.
"If you need to talk to me about anything like this, then please do. I am here to help."
Mesaana furrowed her brow as she thought. Tapping her upper lip with a forefinger as she thought.
"Well, not very much. Give him some space, give him time to heal. Hopefully, he will forgave you for it, and did not feel betrayal."
A pause.
"It can often, for people who don't know, feel like a betrayal. They do not know that you cannot control those powers, and feel that you ought to have been able to stop it. Sometimes, there is resentment, and the inability to get close."
Mesaana nodded calmly. Icy blue eyes watching her carefully.
"Yes, you should. It is better that way. Give him time, let him deal with any fear."
A pause as she glanced away. Her voice was troubled as she spoke with a displeased look on her face. It was obvious that Lady Selae was struggling for words.
"I must confess that I feel rather horrible about this whole turn of events. You are my student and I should be watching you much more closely than I am. Please forgive me."
"At least...at least it wasn't my daughter," she says after a moment. Her dad might eventually forgive her, but if she ever caused Angie pain, she's not sure she could ever forgive herself.
Only strength of will prevented Mesaana from smiling in triumph. A moment of contemplative thought as she tapped her upper lip.
"Well, if you wanted I could take you to my home in Mar Ruois. I could work with you in the evenings, and because of the time differential, no one here would notice any absense. I can send you back here whenever you like, till you learn to do it yourself."
"They will not notice that you are gone. Three to four days passes for every day that passes in the bar. I can send you home whenever you would like."
A golden glow burst around Mesaana, and a line of silvery light split the air before spinning open into a Gateway. On the other side, is an austere hall of white glimmering white stone.
A small smile on Mesaana's face. Icy blue eyes watching her calmly. This was easier than she had thought it would be. It was only a matter of time till she controlled Kim like she did Astoreth.
For a moment, Selae's laugh reminds her of Nina and she mentally shakes herself, reminding herself that it's just appearance, it doesn't mean anything.
Almost cautiously she walks up to the gateway, expecting it to pull her in or to feel wind or...anything. But she takes another breath, steps through and...is somewhere else entirely.
She glances back at her room and down at the white floor.

"I only lost my focus for an instant..."
no subject
"That is all it takes. You cannot lose focus."
A pause as her tone softened.
"I am simply glad that it was something I could fix, and that you are not hurt."

"I don't know what I'd do if he turned away from me, Lady Selae."
She takes another breath, "It's taken us so long to be okay."

"No, I know my Dad believes in magic...my sister here, she has powers. He's not afraid of her. But, she's never...hurt him."
She sniffs and raises her head, "What can I do if that happens?"
no subject
"Well, not very much. Give him some space, give him time to heal. Hopefully, he will forgave you for it, and did not feel betrayal."

"I...do want to see your world."

"Whenever you would like, Lady Kim."

"I'm...ready now."
no subject
"It is often very odd for people their first time through a Gateway."
no subject
"What is it like?"
no subject
"It is no different than any other step. People expect there to be something, but there isn't. That is why it is odd."
no subject
"Should I bring anything?"
no subject
"No, I will provide you with anything you might need."
