Kim doesn't see Salazar pull out the knife but she feels the blade pierce her skin, deep enough to hurt but not to kill, she screams and tears slide down her face.
"I believe you," he whispers into her ear, his fingers digging into her upper arm, "But you're already dead."
'No, you are' and she remembers him dying, not just dying, but being blown apart. Memories are melting together. She blinks but he's still leaning over her and a small part of her mind is rebelling against reality. At least if she's dead she won't have to feel guilty anymore for surviving.
She takes in a breath, closes her eyes and lets the pain dull all other thoughts. But she can't stop crying, hearing it as from a distance.
A walkie-talkie on the table buzzes to life. A man answers it.
"Ramon? Bauer's arrived."
Salazar smiles a little, "I think it's time to move this upstairs."
She's freed from the chair and is too weak to fight them as they drag out the door and towards the stairs.
